This exhibition examined Cambridge’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, exploring how the museum's founding wealth connects to global histories of enslavement and resistance. It displayed historic works in dialogue with modern and contemporary art to propose new perspectives on the collections.
The exhibition featured works by Jacqueline Bishop, Sokari Douglas Camp, Donald Locke, Joy Labinjo, Karen McLean, Alexis Peskine, Keith Piper, Barbara Walker and Alberta Whittle.
