On Sunday 13th May, the piece You Have Not Changed (2011) disappeared from the 10th African Contemporary Art Biennale, Dak'Art 2012. On Tuesday 15th May, the artist invited members of the public to contribute clothes to the line, which had previously hung the dress she wore when she last saw her father at the age of 8. The ephemeral quality of the performance reinforced the fragility of remembrance and the collective, yet intimate connection to objects of memory.
